Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN)
Our locally, veteran-owned hospice agency is seeking hospice nurses. The hospice nurse provides nursing care to the terminally ill patient and assistance to the family through the end-of-life journey.
Essential Functions:
- Regularly assesses and re-assesses the nursing needs of the hospice patient 
- Provides nursing services, treatment, and preventative measures when possible 
- Observes signs and symptoms and reports to the physician and IDG members any changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition 
- Supervises and trains other nursing service personnel as needed 
- Develops and re-evaluates that patient/family care plan in conjunction with IDG to meet needs and maintain continuity of care 
- Attends team conferences 
- Maintains documentation as required by Hospice 
- Follows the policies and procedures of Hospice; observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient-related information in compliance with HIPAA regulations 
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing 
- Current, unencumbered nursing license to practice in the state of Georgia 
- Minimum of 2 years as a nurse preferred 
- Hospice experience preferred 
- Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments 
- Must have reliable transportation 
- COVID vaccination, background clearance, and drug screening is a requirement

After Hours and Weekend On-Call RN
Seeking experienced RNs for weekday after hours or every other weekend on-call positions with locally, veteran-owned hospice agency. Flexible shifts available.
- Involves triaging calls over the phone and making visits to patients in their home or facility when needed. 
- Must live within agency service area of one of the following GA counties in order to ensure timely on-call response: Columbia, Elbert, Greene, Lincoln, McDuffie, Oglethorpe, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, Wilkes.
